Amit Shah silent on BJD in a virtual rally.

Bhubaneswar:Amit Shah has given a clear message to the party’s rank and file that none should open lips against the Governing BJD or Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

This was evident when Mr.Shah delivered a 48 minute long speech in a virtual rally on 8 June to the BJP leaders, workers and rank and file.

During his entire speech Mr.Shah neither took the name of BJD nor Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Mr.Shah’s silence is enough of a message for the leaders like BJD state General Secretary Prithwiraj Harichandan and outspoken party leader Lekhashree Samantasinghar.
Interestingly, Mr.Harichandan was coordinating the rally where Mr.Shah preferred to remain silent on the most sensitive issues the COVID 19 procurements.
Mr.Harichandan and Ms.Lekhashree have been making allegations since some days and raising questions on the transparency in the procurement. They too demanded a high level probe.
However, Mr.Shah remained silent and did not uttered a word in this regard giving a clear signal to the party leaders and workers that it is better to remain silent than joining voice with Congress against BJD and its Supremo Naveen Patnaik.
Congress has also been making such allegations as the BJP state leaders do.
As part of his strategy, Mr.Shah preferred not to say a word against Mr.Patnaik and BJD or the State Government, which will indirectly help Congress.
Mr.Shah’s silence should frustrate some BJP leaders who have been demanding a probe into the COVID procurement.
But, Mr.Shah has no support towards such allegations which has been proved today.
Though Mr.Shah called upon his party workers and leaders to make Odisha as a fortress of the BJP, he did not point a finger towards the BJD.
Mr.Shah, on the other hand, tried to impress upon the people of Odisha that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are equally dedicated to Lord Jagannath, the Presiding Deity of Odias.
When “Mahaprabhu” is the most preferred word of Naveen Patnaik when he talks on Lord Jagannath, shah in the same line also reiterated the word Mahaprabhu.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also described Mr.Shah and Mr.Modi duo as great devotees of the Lord and said that it was the Prime Minister who sanctioned Rs 50 crore for Lord Jagannath’s Nabakalebar festival.
The saffron party made all attempts to woo Odias by chanting Jai Jagannth.
This is not all, BJP State President Samir Mohanty also said that Mr.Shah as the Union Home Minister will help hold the Annual Ratha Jatra of the Lord amidst COVID pandemic.
So now it is clear that BJP has all out support for celebration of Ratha Jatra of Trinity.
While State Government is making all out efforts to organize Ratha Jatra, BJP support in this regard has come as a moral support for the organizers.
