Preparatory committee meeting was held for India Vs South Africa T-20 International Cricket Match on 12 JUNE 2022 .

Cuttack:Today Shri Suresh Chandra Dalei (IAS, RDC) called a preparatory committee meeting on 1st June 2022 at 4:00 PM in the Sadbhavna Conference Hall, of the office of RDC for the successful conduct of T20 International cricket match between India Vs South Africa scheduled on 12th June 2022.
In the meeting, Collector of Cuttack Shri Bhabani Shankar Chaini, DCP Cuttack Shri Pinak
Mishra, Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty (President, OCA), Shri Sanjay Behera (Secretary, OCA),
Shri Avijit Paul (Secretary, OOA) along with many Govt. officials from the concerned
department related to the upcoming T-20 matches were present.
During the discussion Shri Sanjay Behera (Secretary, OCA) briefed the house regarding the
preparedness for the upcoming event in details and he also shared that both the teams will arrive
on 10th June 2022. He requested the Airport Authority for the players and team officials smooth
& safe transit after arrival in the city.
In that discussion, The DCP Cuttack assured the house that they will provide adequate security
arrangements for the expected crowd of 60,000. In this regard, the DCP Cuttack has planned a
mock drill tomorrow 2nd June 2022 for the safe evacuation of the spectators in case of any
exigency.
Also For the safe road transit – a mock drill is planned on 8th June 2022 in association with
Odisha Traffic Department.

After finishing the match – for the smooth dispersal of spectators Regional Transport
Department will deploy 8 shuttle buses to smoothen the transit towards railways station and bus
depots.
All roads connected towards Barabati Stadium will be repaired by the R&B Division and
cleaned by CMC, Cuttack. The beautification work will also be taken care off by the CMC.

The PHD department will provide safe and hygienic drinking water supply for the public during
the purchase of ticket and on the match day outside the stadium.
The CDMO, Cuttack will provide 6 well equipped ambulances and medical team for any
medical emergency.
During the above discussion Shri Sanjay Behera (Secretary, OCA) told the house like previous
events necessary arrangements for the fire safety will be done and he also added every spectators
safety is of paramount importance. He also shared that the Public Address system will be in
place for proper guidance to the public.
Concluding this meeting – Shri Suresh Chandra Dalei (IAS, RDC) & Shri Bhabai Shankar
Chaini (Collector, Cuttack) have advised all the officials of the concerned departments to extend
their full co-operation to Odisha Cricket Association for the successful conduct of this event, as it
involves the prestige of our State.
