Work shop on Bank fraud – ODISHA Police

Cuttack: As a part of capacity building exercise of Odisha Police CID CB in collaboration with ICICI Bank organized a two days workshop on “Bank frauds-Prevention and Investigation” for Police Officers of Commissionerate Police and Central Range. 35 officers from the field and Officers from Crime Branch attended the workshop.


Since crimes like ATM fraud, Credit Card fraud, UPI fraud and other various online transactional frauds are on rise, an urgent need was felt for capacity building at cutting edge level of Police Station to handle such type of offences. The workshop has objective of training the field officers at Police Station to investigate such type of offences effectively.


ADG CID CB Sri S.K.Priyadarsi inaugurated the workshop in presence of IGP CID CB, SP CID CB and Sr. Officers of ICICI Bank from Mumbai. He urged all the field officers to make effective utilization of this two days training module so that the bank fraud cases can be presented and detected effectively at the PS level.
It is proposed to conduct such workshop across the state at the Range Hdqrs. level in due course.
