Validity Of Learner’s License Extended In Odisha; Click For Latest STA Notification
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Transport Department (STA) on Saturday extended the validity of learner’s license till June 30, 2021 in view of the resurgence of Covid-19 in the State.
As per the notification issued by STA, the move is expected to help the applicants to appear the final driving license (DL) test at a later date.
“Due to the prevailing situation of Covid-19, large number of persons holding Learner’s License (LL) are still waiting to appear for the DL test. In view of the above, the Learner’s Licenses which had expired since March 18, 2020 or would expire by June, 2021, such Learner’s Licenses will be treated as valid till June 30, 2021,” the STA notification read.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) had earlier extended the validity of documents related to Motor Vehicles Act and Central Motor Vehicle Rules till March 31, 2021.
All the fitness, permit (all types), driving licence (DL), registration or any other such documents, which have been expired since February 1 or would expire by March 31, 2021, were announced to be treated as valid till March 31 this year.
