No Ganesh Puja In Cuttack This Year, Uncertainty Looms Over Dussehra Celebrations

Cuttack: Lord Ganesh will not be seen in any puja mandap across Cuttack city as the CP has decided not to hold any festivity on Ganesh Chaturthi this year due to COVID-19 pandemic.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of Commissionerate Police with Cuttack Mahanagar Shanti Committee and Cuttack Mahanagar Puja Committee at DCP headquarters here on Sunday.

Every year, the puja committees with an aim to do something innovative, make all preparation for the Ganesh Puja with pomp and gaiety. Due to spike in coronavirus cases, it will not be possible to celebrate the Ganesh festival this year. However, people can celebrate Puja at their home, said the CP.
