COVID-19 update in Odisha: 473 Samples Tested, Positive Cases Remain 3
Bhubaneswar: The number of COVID-19 positive patients in Odisha remained three (3) as on Tuesday afternoon. As many as 473 samples have been tested in different testing facilities of Odisha so far, said Subroto Bagchi, the Chief Spokesperson of COVID-19 Management team of Odisha Government.
Speaking about the cases in India, Bagchi said that the number of deaths in the country rose to 32, a number which was 29, on Monday. “Total 1,251 patients have been tested postiive for Coronavirus in India. 24 hours back, this number was 1,071,” said Bagchi.
In Odisha, 55 persons came in contact with the first two patients who are under treatment in Capital Hospital and AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. Total 112 persons came in contact with the third COVID-19 patient who is also undergoing treatment at the Capital Hospital.
“57 persons are in hospital isolation in different parts of the State. Total 11,575 persons have registered through the COVID-19 portal and health helpline number in Odisha. Out of these, 4,304 have returned to Odisha from foreign countries,” he added.
Giving a picture of the global scenario, Bagchi said that total 200 countries are now affected by Coronavirus. Besides, two ships on are also affected. Total, 7,24,759 persons have been infected with Coronavirus and 38,103 persons have died, till Tuesday afternoon, said Bagchi.
