Smart Farming to be the core of third Green Revolution.
Bhubaneswar: Atal Incubation Centre Nalanda has been set up with the support of Niti Ayog in the premises of Nalanda Institute of Technology Foundation (NITF), Bhubaneswar. The centre has provided the launch pad to an Agritech Start Up Company registered under the title “Smart Farming” by two Agricultural Scientists Dr. Binod Bihari Sahoo and Dr. Sushant Kumar Dash. The Start Up has lunched first 11 of its products by the Chief Guest of the Ceremony Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand a successful top Managerial Professional who has been mentoring Start Ups. Dr. Chand in his address told that smart farming will bring in third green revolution as the core of smart farming is to improve production, productivity, reduce waste & promote environment sustainability by minimising use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Application of IT technology like Remote Sensing (RS), GPS, GIS, AI etc enables monitoring by sensor & management by software. The Smart Farming will help doubling the income of the farmers.
On this occasion 11 products were lunched like Samrudhi, Pachak, Manthan, Safala etc Dr. Binod Bihari Sahoo, CEO and founder of the Start Up explained about the uniqueness of the products. Dr. Sahoo, Shri Dharmendra Srivastav, Group CEO, Shri Archan Deb, CEO, Shri Abhishek, COO, Shri Durga Prasad Gouda, Manager, AIC-Nalanda were present on the occasion and gave thanks to Dr. Chand for his professional support to entrepreneurs especially from Odisha.
