Additional Rapid Response Teams Deployed To Speed Up Contact Tracing In Cuttack City

Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has been utilising the shutdown to speed up contract tracing, CMC Commissioner Ananya Das has informed.

As part of the initiative, the CMC has deployed five additional rapid response teams, bringing the number to 15. Also, two mobile sampling units have been added to the task force.

The commissioner took to social media on Thursday night to give these updates on the shutdown situation in Millenium City.

“This time is very crucial for us. We are carrying out rapid contact tracing of positive cases and testing them,” the IAS officer said.

Das reminded everyone to wear masks, wash hands and maintain social distancing in order to break the chain.

She appealed to the city denizens to cooperate, saying that shutdown “is a very painful process for the society as a whole and the administration” and that the main focus is to “break the chain”.
