Bhubaneswar: Results of the annual High School Certificate Examination (Matric) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSEO) will be published within 45 days, announced School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash today. The Minister made the announcement while informing newsmen that evaluation of answer scripts of the annual High School Certificate Examination will commence from tomorrow at the 60 evaluation centers as notified earlier.
Dash said that evaluation of the answer scripts will be done in accordance with the directives issued by the Orissa High Court. Emphasis has been laid on maintaining social distance and the use of sanitizers in the evaluation centers, he added. Evaluation of answer books of annual High School Certificate Examination had taken place for a day on March 19. However, evaluation of answer scripts had to be suspended following the imposition of nationwide lockdown as a containment measure against the spread of COVID-19.
Similarly, later it was decided to start the evaluation of the answer scripts on May 20 but had to be postponed to May 21 in view of Cyclone Amphan and again it was postponed indefinitely on May 21 as several areas in the State were affected under the impact of Cyclone Amphan. Later, the School and Mass Education Department notified that evaluation of answer scripts will start from May 26.
