Teacher serving on fake certificates-Odisha S&ME, Minister
Bhubaneswar: School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today informed that 172 teachers including junior teachers both regular and contractual were caught serving on fake certificates.
Dash, in a written reply to a question by Ramesh Chandra Sai, told this in the State Assembly on Wednesday.
The minister said the School and Mass Education Department vide letters in 2009 and 2019 has directed Director Primary Education, Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA), all District Education Officers (DEOs), all District Project Coordinators and all Education and Block Education Officers to examine the certificates of all teachers working in the state.
Dash also informed the Assembly that the results of annual Plus II examinations (all streams) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in the State will be published by the first week of June.
Responding to a written reply to a question by BJD legislator from Salipur, the minister said that preparations are underway to publish results of the annual Plus II examination for the Science stream by the end of May. The results of Arts, Commerce and Vocational streams will be declared by the first week of June.
The evaluation of answer sheets will begin from the first week of April, the minister said and added action will be taken against teachers who will not cooperate in the evaluation of Plus II answer papers.
