Sonia urges PM to assure nation on restoration of status quo on LAC

New Delhi: Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday asked the government to assure the nation for restoration of status quo on the LAC.

Gandhi who attended the all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi this evening, said the people are still in the dark about many crucial aspects of the crisis.

The Congress chief asked the government to disclose when the Chinese incursion started. She wanted to know if the government had received intelligence report on the matter.

Gandhi also wanted to know if it was an intelligence failure. The Congress chief said the government had failed to use all avenues and the result is the loss of 20 precious lives.
