New Delhi: Acknowledging the prevalence of social media in the world today, NHRC India opens its Twitter account (handle @IndiaNhrc). It is designed and inaugurated by the Secretary General, Mr. Jaideep Govind. After inauguration he expresses that it is a wise initiative of the Commission to uphold the human rights situation of India before the world. The occasion marks a step toward increasing awareness amongst citizens about human rights and the role and functions of NHRC. Many human rights Defenders appreciate the action.
