IPL PLAYOFF SCENARIO

Cuttack: Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) won the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

by 98 runs on Sunday. They are currently top of the Indian Premier League (IPL)

with 16 points.Rajasthan also has 16 points but is behind Kolkata on net run rate.

RR and KKR have almost cemented their places in the playoffs. There will be

a fight among the teams for the remaining two spots which is third and the fourth

positions and the team which I think is having a higher chance of qualifying is

of course Chennai Super Kings(CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) as both

the teams have potential and the experience as per my knowledge.Today SRH

will be facing MI and a win can put them a firm favorite to seal their playoff

berth. Delhi Capitals are at fifth with 10 points and they have 3 remaining

matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost seven matches of their eight

matches have made a remarkable turnaround by wining three matches on the

trot.The Faf du Plessis team is still in the hunt but they will have to win their

remaining games.They will then finish on 14 points.If results go there way then

they can qualify without thinking about NRR.Punjab Qualification took a blow

as they were beaten by Chennai by 28 runs which affected their NRR. Mumbai

and Gujarat are looking very bleak as they are at ninth and tenth position respectively.

GT still have an outside chance if they end up winning their three remaining matches then they will reach 14 points but for MI Who has struggled in the tounament they are

almost out.Mumbai have only six points in 11 matches but they can certainly play

the party spoiler if they will finish strong.
