Beware Traffic Rule Violators! 4267 DLs Suspended In 21 Days In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Acting tough on traffic rule violations in Odisha, the Transport Department has suspended as many as 4267 Driving Licences (DLs) in the state between January 1 and 21.
The DLs were suspended for 3 months in the instances of drunken driving, over speeding, jumping red light, using mobile while driving, overloading on goods vehicles, non-wearing of helmet by both rider & pillion etc.
Highest number of DL suspensions (2688) were recorded due to non-wearing of helmets.
