Bhubaneswar: Father of senior IAS officer Sujata Karthikeyan, Dr. Akshay Kumar Rout, passed away at a private hospital here. He was a noted pediatrician in Jamshedpur. 
Dr. Rout was a native of Baluria village, under Pattamundai block of Kendrapada district. He was the father-in-law of VK Pandian, the Secretary to CM (5T).
