Protests Against CAA & NRC; Communities Bond In Peaceful Rally

Cuttack:  In a  Big Rally of more than Two Thousand people had gathered at Sunshine Field near Gandhi Bhawan Cuttack against NRC, CAA & NPR. They had also submit memorandum through Cuttack Collector to President of India, Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, National Human Rights Commission, Governor of Odisha and Chief Minister of Odisha for withdrawel of such black
law.

city today took to streets to express their opposition against the controversial Citizens Amendment Act (CAA) that came in to effect across the country with the issuance of gazette notification yesterday.

Thousands of Muslims joined the protest and demanded to withdraw the CAA, National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR) .The protesters marched on a rally from Buxi Bazar to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s birthplace in Oriya Bazar raising slogans and holding placards against the newly implemented act.

They claimed the new act has been structured against Muslims as it will treat the community as second class citizen of the country.

It will spread hatred and the future generation will suffer its consequences, they added. However, implementing the law the Central government has clarified that citizenship of not a single Indian will be affected by the CAA.

As per the amended law, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Christian and  Parsee refugees coming to India after being subjected to religious persecution in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will get the status of Indian citizen.

    A. I AM STAYING AT HERE BEFORE 6 MONTH & ALSO COMING 6 MONTH. NOT MY PARENTS.
    Q. WHAT IS CAA ?
    A. WE R GIVING CITIZENSHIP FREELY IN RELIGION BASICS, WHICH IS VIOLET TO OUR CONSTITUTION.
