Bihar Foundation Day Celebrated at Odisha Lok Bhavan.

Mutual respect for traditions strengthens national unity: Governor.

Bhubaneswar : (TOB-NNS): Bihar State Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Sunday at the New Abhijaat Hall of Odisha Lok Bhavan. On this occasion, the Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, stated that mutual respect for different traditions strengthens national unity. He said that when people accept each other’s traditions with openness and respect, it enhances the spirit of mutual harmony.

Referring to the concept of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Governor said that its core objective is to promote emotional unity and cultural understanding. Such events further strengthen the idea of a culturally united nation.

The Governor also highlighted the historical and cultural ties between Bihar and Odisha. Recalling ancient connections, especially the impact of the Kalinga War, he mentioned that both regions were once part of the same administrative unit.

Congratulating the people of Bihar residing in Odisha, the Governor appreciated their contribution to the state’s development and cultural life. He added that such cultural exchange programs strengthen interstate relations and reinforce national unity.

On this occasion, the First Lady of the state, Dr. Jayashree Kambhampati, was also present. People from Bihar living in Odisha shared their experiences during the event. Additionally, ADG Police (Law & Order) Sanjay Kumar, Transport Commissioner Amitabh Thakur, Accountant General Atul Prakash, and Assistant Welfare Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Verma also expressed their views on Bihar’s rich heritage and Odisha–Bihar relations.
