Cuttack: The STF/CTC ( Combined team of RPF & GRP ) in plain cloth engaged surveillance near Sikharpur LC gate to Mahandi Railway bridge area . Suddenly noticed while train No 12704 departing from CTC Railway station and crossing Sikharpur L/C gate and approaching to Mahanadi Railway bridge heard shouting noise near the railway track side near to Zobra. Immediately the STF/CTC team attended the site and learnt about one passenger of the train namely Ananda Acharya , age -22 yrs , S/O- Abhijeet Acharya sustained bleeding injury and assault by one unknown person who also snatched his mobile and money purse. The STF/CTC observed the situation and noticed one Scotty having registration No OD 05 AT 7998 was standing by the side of Zobra Anikat road. As per situation the STF/CTC team ambush there with quick plan. After some times one person came to Scooty and while trying to take it, immediately STF team surrounded him and he was identified by the victim the same person committed assault and robbery to him. The culprit person identified as Sk ismile -26 yrs , S/O-Sk Jabir . R/o Tinapita Sahi , Zobra, PS-Malgodwn , Cuttack . On challenged and seeing the local person and on gathering of a huge local public the STF Cuttack identified themselves as police personnel manage to leads the victim and culprit to LPS/Malgodwn. After rendering treatment escort the victim person and the culprit and produced before IIC/GRPS/CTC for legal action .
